Why another PMS?
Our team includes Canadian dental staff who had to live with every bad design choice, incomplete feature and disconnected system. We saw dentists paying for several pieces of software to do what one system should, denturists getting by on systems that haven’t changed in decades, and hygienists running a clinic on paper because nothing was built for them.
We never found one, so we built our own.

I worked chairside as a registered dental assistant in Ontario and Alberta, from single-dentist practices to multi-location clinics. Most of what MapleDent Cloud does started as something that slowed me down at the chair. My rule for every screen: keep it simple, and never make the user do the software’s job. Before building each one, I asked the dentists, denturists, hygienists and assistants I’ve worked with what they liked, what they wished it did, and what got in their way.
Every screen and feature in MapleDent Cloud was made by consulting the people who use it.

I did my master’s in data science in Bristol, and for over half a decade I worked in medical software serving thousands of medical practitioners across Europe. I built MapleDent Cloud with a simple goal in mind: a strong and secure backend for everything to rest on. Nothing in MapleDent Cloud is disconnected. Everything in the system talks to everything else. Making or fixing a screen is simply connecting lines together, instead of building bridges. On this foundation, every feature Tucan couldn’t find elsewhere became possible.
