Why we decided to build a PMS
Our team includes Canadian dental staff who had to live with every bad design choice, incomplete feature and disconnected system. We saw dentists paying for several pieces of software to do what one system should, denturists getting by on systems that haven’t changed in decades, and hygienists running a clinic on paper because nothing was built for them.
We never found one, so we built our own.
What makes us different?
Most clinics run on several pieces of software bolted together. MapleDent Cloud is one system on one strong, secure backend. Nothing in it is disconnected: everything talks to everything else, so making a new screen is connecting lines together instead of building bridges, and a new feature takes us weeks, not years.
Every screen was made by consulting the dentists, denturists, hygienists and assistants who use it, with one rule: keep it simple, and never make the user do the software’s job.
We aren’t owned by venture capital firms or American multinationals.
Our dream for the future
A practice management system clinics choose because it’s the easiest one to work in, not because leaving is too hard. Where a solo hygienist and a multi-location group run their whole day in the same place, and new features come from the people using it every day.
More time with patients, less time booking them in.
