What MapleDent Cloud costs

Our prices are published, in Canadian dollars. The table shows the price when paid yearly. Month to month is also available, at the list price.

The price depends only on how many providers of the practice's primary type it has: dentists in a dental practice, denturists in a denturist clinic, hygienists in a hygiene clinic. Assistants, reception and office managers are never counted. The details are on the pricing page.

The add-ons that raise the bill

Practice software is often sold as a base system with extras priced separately. These are typical monthly prices for the extras a clinic ends up buying. All of them are part of MapleDent Cloud.

Fees to ask about

Before comparing two quotes, ask each vendor the same questions.

• Is there a fee for each computer, screen or staff login?
• Does a second location cost extra?
• Are texting, online booking and imaging in the price, or sold separately?
• Is there a setup fee, and is moving our data included?
• Is training included, and what does extra training cost?
• Is there a fixed-term contract, and what does leaving cost?
• How much can the price go up each year?
• Can we export our data at any time?

Worked examples

These use the published prices when paid yearly. Month to month, the same practices pay $300, $600, $250, $100 and $250 a month.

• A dental practice with one dentist: $270 a month.
• A dental practice with three dentists: $270 plus two more dentists at $135 each, $540 a month.
• A denturist clinic with two denturists: $180 plus $45, $225 a month.
• A solo hygienist on MapleDent Lite: $90 a month.
• A hygiene clinic with two hygienists on MapleDent Cloud: $180 plus $45, $225 a month.

Hygienists and denturists working in a dentist-led practice are not counted. Neither are assistants, reception or office managers. A practice with several locations has its providers counted across all of them and pays no fee per location.

Launch offers

• The first month of every new subscription is free.
• Clinics opened within the last 12 months also get four months of deferred payment.
• Paying yearly takes 10% off the month to month price. Yearly payments aren't refunded.

When the four deferred months end, the deferred amount can be paid as part of a year paid up front, month by month with each bill covering the current month plus one deferred month, or all at once with 5% off the four deferred months.

Monthly or yearly

Month to month billing costs more each month and can be stopped at any time. Yearly billing costs 10% less and is paid up front. Nobody is required to commit to longer than a month.

Payment is by pre-authorized debit or credit card. Credit card payments carry a processing fee, shown before you pay.

• Electronic claims through CDAnet, CDHAnet and DACnet.
• Payments, invoices, statements and reports.
• Imaging, with no separate imaging licence.
• Two-way texting, appointment reminders and recare reminders.
• The patient portal and the in-clinic kiosk.
• Team chat, task boards and the morning huddle.
• Two private onboarding sessions, a weekly live group training session and support.

How much does dental software cost a month in Canada?

MapleDent Cloud starts at $270 a month for dental practices, $180 a month for denturist clinics and $180 a month for dental hygiene clinics, in Canadian dollars before taxes. MapleDent Lite, for hygiene clinics, starts at $90 a month. These are the prices when paid yearly. Month to month they are $300, $200, $200 and $100.

Is there a setup fee?

No. Onboarding, training and data migration support are included, with no setup fee.

Can the price go up after we sign up?

Each clinic's Subscription Agreement differs, but MapleDent typically limits price increases for existing clients based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Do we pay more for a second location?

No. A practice with several locations pays one price, with its providers counted across all of them, and no fee per location.

Is there a free trial?

The first month of every new subscription is free, and you can cancel during it without paying anything.
