Scheduling
- Drag-and-drop schedule
- Book, move and resize appointments by dragging. One column per provider, colour-coded appointment types, working hours and do-not-book blocks, in day, week and month views.
- Undo
- Deleted or moved the wrong appointment? Undo puts it back.
- Cancellation recovery
- Record when each patient can come in and who they prefer to see. When a slot opens, patients whose availability matches get a text with a booking link, and the first to book takes it.
- Privacy mode
- Hides patient names on screen when a patient can see it, such as at the front desk.
- Multiple locations
- One account across every location, with a clinic switcher, staff shared between clinics or kept to one, and patient balances that follow the patient.
Notes and charting
- Guided notes
- Click through a visit's choices and the note writes itself: each pick adds a finished sentence, and picks can open further choices. Pick again to change a sentence.
- Custom note templates
- Build your own note templates and guided notes, then search, pin and reuse them.
- Appointment summaries
- A Summary tab shows each patient's visits at a glance: date, provider, visit type and a one-line note, with a link to the full note. Catch up on a patient in seconds, whether it has been months or years.
- Perio charting and comparison
- Chart pocket depths in graph or table view, starting from the last exam. Compare two exams side by side in a view patients understand.
- Charting that picks the codes
- Chart the tooth, surfaces and material, and the fee code follows. Change a surface or a material and the code changes with it; codes that need a lab fee arrive with the fee attached.
- Treatment plans, prescriptions and referrals
- Treatment plans tracked to completion, e-signed prescriptions tied to the appointment, and referrals.
- Note audits

Imaging

- Capture from your devices or upload, then view a patient's images as a timeline, gallery or list and compare them side by side. No separate imaging licence.
- Mounts and custom mount templates

- Rotate, resize and line up images in a mount, zoom and invert, and hide an image from the patient portal.

- Maple Dental Software is certified for CDAnet, CDHAnet and DACnet, and claims reach insurers through CDAnet and ITRANS. Send claims from the appointment, check eligibility, and see each patient's claim history.
- Payments and invoices
- Payments, invoices and statements, with family members linked so shared insurance stays together.
- Reports
- Production, collections, daily claims, cashier and other reports, exported to Excel or PDF.
Team
- Team management
- Staff profiles with roles such as front desk, assistant, hygienist, dentist and sterilization, the permissions that go with them, and certifications tracked with renewal reminders.
- Team chat
- Channels and direct messages for the clinic, with files and images attached.
- Task boards
- Kanban boards for callbacks, lab cases and sign-up sheets, with due dates, comments and reusable task templates. Replaces the sticky notes and spreadsheets.
- Morning huddle
- One screen to start the day: today's schedule, who is in and their hours, sedation cases, open and overdue tasks, unread messages, yesterday's unfinished notes, and birthdays.
- Phone and tablet app
- Install MapleDent from the browser onto phones and tablets like an app, with no app store: staff see their day, the huddle, chat and task boards on a phone, and the clinic's tablets run as a patient kiosk.
