Dental online booking, built into the schedule.
Patients book their own appointments online, at the times you choose to offer. The appointment lands in the clinic's schedule, with nothing to copy over.
How patients book
- Recare reminder texts include a link where patients pick a time and book it themselves.
- When an appointment is cancelled, patients whose availability matches get a text with a booking link, and the first to book takes it.
Both are part of MapleDent Cloud, not MapleDent Lite.
Booking rules you set
- You choose the times that can be booked online.
- Dovetailing is optional. Turn it on to let online bookings overlap the way your schedule already does, or leave it off.
- A planned treatment can be booked online, once the provider has selected it and given it a length.
The provider decides what a patient can book and how long it takes, so an online booking fits the schedule the way a booking made at the front desk would.
Less time on the phone
The clinic records when each patient can come in and who they prefer to see, so nobody has to ask about availability each time. Patients can update their availability from the patient portal.
The patient portal
In the patient portal, patients see their next appointment, past and upcoming visits, treatment plans, documents and images.
What it costs
Online booking is often sold as an add-on. In MapleDent Cloud it is part of the price, starting at $270 a month for dental practices. See what dental software costs.
What the patient sees
The patient opens the link from their text message, sees the times on offer, picks one and confirms. The times offered match the patient's availability and the provider they prefer to see.
The appointment is then in the schedule. Nobody at the front desk has to type it in.
Filling cancelled appointments
You set a patient's availability and MapleDent does the rest. When a cancellation happens, it finds the patients who are available for the slot, notifies them, and gets them booked in. The first to book takes it.
It works without another program or another monthly subscription. Patients can update their availability from the patient portal at any time, so it stays current.
Texts that carry the link
- Recare reminders, when a patient is due.
- Cancellation recovery, when a slot opens that matches a patient's availability.
Text messages include an opt-out, for example replying STOP. Patients can also text back the same number, and the team sees the reply in MapleDent.
